Dr. Phil Anderson
Vice President of Partnerships and Government for FDE Hydro
Dr. Phil Anderson is the Vice President of Partnerships and Government for FDE Hydro. Previously, he was Chief Innovation Officer at the Global Resilience Institute at Northeastern University where he continues to serve as a Distinguished Senior Fellow.
Before joining Global Resilience Institute, he served as Chief Executive of the Homeland Security Institute (HSI), the first congressionally chartered, federally funded research and development center (FFRDC). He has served as a trusted advisor to senior government officials in developing Homeland Security policy establishing the Center for Strategic and International Studies’ (CSIS) Homeland Security Program.
Previously, Dr. Anderson developed and executed Lucent Technologies–Bell Labs’ government business strategy as Vice President and General Manager of their Washington Operations where he focused on information security and communications technologies.
Phil proudly served 25 years in the U.S. Marine Corps deploying around the world and is a recognized expert with International and Homeland Security, Defense Policy and Counter Terrorism experience.
In addition to his undergraduate degree, Dr. Anderson holds a Masters in International Relations and a Masters and Ph.D in Education from George Mason University and serves as a Permanent Deacon in the Hingham (Massachusetts) Catholic Collaborative.
